Tubecon appoints new General Manager
Tubecon appoints new General Manager

The board of Billington has announced the appointment of Jeremy Green as General Manager of Tubecon, a division of Billington Structures Ltd specialising in tubular steel, with immediate effect. Jeremy is a qualified Chartered Structural Engineer with over 15 years’ experience in the specialist steel market.  Previous to joining Billington, he held a number of senior positions at Corus Tubes and Tata Steel International.

Jeremy’s appointment is part of a revival of the Tubecon brand following an increase in the number of enquiries and orders for tubular steel in complicated structures.

Commenting on the appointment, Steve Fareham, CEO of Billington Holdings, said: “An increase in the amount of queries for tubular steel structures has led to our decision to market, expand and source alternative types of specialist structural steelwork in the UK and hopefully the export market.  Jeremy’s vast experience in tubular steel, initially as Technical Marketing Engineer at Corus Tubes and most recently as Technical Sales Manager at Tata Steel International, is a great asset to us and we’re delighted that he decided to join us.”

Jeremy Green, General Manager of Tubecon added: “Billington Structures has an excellent reputation and is involved in many areas of the structural steel marketplace.  Its flexibility and ability to change production and specification to meet an ever changing market has ensured that it remains at the top of its field.  I’m pleased to be joining Tubecon at a pivotal stage of its development.”

Based in Leicestershire, Tubecon Specialist Structural Steel will operate as a separate trading division of Billington Structures Ltd.
