The Commander T2 touch-screen car operating panel from Memco goes beyond simple functionality by replacing traditional mechanical push buttons. The new touch panel allows users to choose floor direction with a customisable interface that can be matched to building décor and programmed to deliver supplemental information.
The T2 can display the logos of building tenants, along with high resolution news, entertainment, building information and advertising content to visitors and can be easily updated and controlled by the building manager.
Easy to install, the panel is compatible with most types of multimedia formats and can be used as a standalone operating panel or matched with Memco’s EVOLUTION™ LCD displays for greater the impact.
The T2 was recently granted approval by the New York City Department of Buildings – Elevator Division. It is now the first touch screen approved in the United States for use as the main elevator car operating panel.
“The decision by New York City to use the T2 is a great endorsement of the product,” commented Paul Simmons, Memco’s managing director. “This high profile validation from NYC demonstrates the successful combination of functionality and high-end cosmetic finish of the Commander panel. TheT2 really is distinctive, and those buildings that install it in their elevators will make themselves stand out.”
