| Birmingham NIA announces makeover plans |

The National Indoor Arena (NIA) in Birmingham's city centre has unveiled its plans for the next generation of arena, as it is set to undergo a £20.6million transformation.
The modernisation of the venue aims to take advantage of its location on the city's canal side and will feature a new showcase entrance from Brindleyplace into the arena. The venue will benefit from much better accessibility, improved flow once inside and new facilities that will aim to enhance the pre and post show experience for customer's and clients.
The building will also feature full height glazed vistas over the canal and city centre.
Overal the cost is expected to be £20.556million and construction will take approximately 18 to 24 months, starting at the beginning of 2013. |
